Welcome to the community of Welsh St Donats located within gently rolling countryside of the Vale of Glamorgan.  The Welsh St Donats Community covers a large rural area and has a population of approximately 485.  The Community is very widespread and extends to include Maendy, Prisk and Tair Onen.

  • The Community Hall

    The Community Hall in Welsh St Donats opened back in 1988 and has provided a very important focal point for community activities over the past 20 years.

  • Welsh St. Donats Parish Church

    The church is situated in the centre of Welsh St Donats Village and is dedicated to St. Donat ("Dynwyd" in Welsh).  It has been a place of worship for over 800 years.

  • Hensol Forest

    To the east of the village Hensol Forest provides the facilities for very pleasant walks and horse riding.

  • Pysgodlyn Mawr

    This picturesque lake can be found in Hensol Forest and is classified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest(SSSI).  It supports a wide range of habitats ranging from open water, through reed swamp, to heath and bog, which are very unusual in the lowland Vale area.
